                                                             Asian Chef of the

                                                             Year announced

                                                             Dev Biswal, the owner of The Ambrette restaurants in
                                                             Margate and Canterbury in Kent and the Devil in Rye,
                                                             East Sussex was named Asian Chef of the Year at the
                                                             recent Asian Restaurant Awards. Dev also received
                                                             a separate regional award for the Devil in Rye - Best
                                                             Asian Restaurant, South Coast.
                                                                Judges, led by Cobra Good Curry Guide editor Pat
                                                             Chapman, said: “Dev’s innovative combination of exotic
                                                             ingredients and seasonal, local fresh produce never fails
                                                             to delight.”

                                                                The Asian Restaurant Awards are organised by the
                                                             Asian Catering Federation (ACF), which represents the
                                                             nation’s 30,000 Asian and Oriental restaurants.

          British Lion eggs is calling on UK food
          businesses to get cracking and make
          plans for British Egg Week, which this
          year has a Protein Power theme.
            “Millennials are driving the growth
          of eggs as more and more are won
          over by their nutritional benefits
          and versatility,” says Andrew Joret,
          Chairman of the British Egg Industry
          Council. “The protein in eggs is one of
          the most motivating benefits for young
          professionals and families, which is why
          we are focusing on Protein Power as our
          British Egg Week theme.”
            Operators can drive awareness of
          their egg offering with product displays,
          recipes, promotions, meal-deals, special
          menus and events.
