        Asian Curry Awards 2018 winners




        Winners of the 8th Asian Curry Awards, organised by
        the Asian Catering Federation (ACF), were announced
        recently as:
        ●  Restaurant of the Year - Rajesh Suri’s Michelin-ranked
           Grand Trunk Road in East London
        ●   Casual Dinning Restaurant of the Year - Dishoom in
           Shoreditch, London
        ●  Best Asian Restaurant Chain - Spice Village, part of
           the Grand Sapphire Group
        ●  International Restaurant of the Year - Zaman
           International in London’s Sportsman’s Casino
        ●  Just East award for Best Takeaway - Mushtaq’s in
           Hamilton, near Glasgow
        ●  Best Thai - Thai Moom in Orpington, Kent
        ●  Best Chinese – Jin Li, London
        ●  Pan Asian Restaurant of the Year – Hakkaland in
           Harrow, London
        ●   Chef of the Year – Chad Rahman of Chez Mumtaj,
           St Albans, Herts.                                   ACF chairman, Yawar Khan
        At the awards ceremony, ACF chairman, Yawar Khan urged restaurant owners to recognise and welcome customers’
        changing dining habits, and to embrace the advantages of modern technology or “risk becoming another statistic.”

          products has never been higher (1 in 3 people now regularly buy plant-based out-of-home) and, as our report finds, these
          people are willing to spend more to get them.”
            Vicky Bhattu, Marketing Director, Alpro UK & Ireland, adds: “The surging demand for plant-based food and drink,
          particularly out of home, signals a significant opportunity for operators, but only if they are armed with the insight, advice
          and know-how to capitalise on this fast-growing and rapidly evolving category.
            “The report will help to educate the industry on the scope of the opportunity, and raise awareness of the variety of
          quality, plant-based options for the foodservice market, such as our growing Alpro For Professionals range, which has
