The Academy of Food & Wine Service (AFWS) is seeking nominations from employers and staff in the hospitality industry for its front-of-house Annual Awards Excellence, being held at London’s Innholder’s Hall on 22 October 2010.
The awards, which have been held by the Academy since 1988, celebrate and reward inspiring people and organisations whose hard work is raising the standard of service and the profile of the industry as well as to recognise the stars of the future.
The award categories include Best Company, Best College and the prestigious Dalmore Award for Excellence, presented last year to restaurant manager Peter Avis of Roof Gardens, Kensington. Read Essentially Catering’s interview with this inspirational man here.
