        of the Year

        The Anchor, in Seatown, West Dorset has been
        announced as VisitEngland’s Tourism Pub of the Year.
          VisitEngland’s Tourism Awards, now in their 28th year,
        celebrate businesses and individuals that demonstrate the
        excellence of England’s tourism offer. To win the award,
        The Anchor beat off stiff competition from the two other   Edinburgh hotel
        finalists: The Howard Arms, West Midlands and The
        Tankerville Arms in the North East.

                                                              Alan Dickson, Head Chef at No 10 Restaurant within
                                                              Ten Hill Place Hotel has has been awarded Hotel Chef
                                                              of the Year 2017 at the Scottish Hotel Awards.
                                                                Edinburgh born and bred, Alan, 28, began working
                                                              in hotels as a waiter, aged 15; he found himself drawn to
                                                              the kitchen by the adrenaline and excitement of a busy
                                                              restaurant service. Alan joined Ten Hill Place three years
                                                              ago and now heads a 14-strong team across the hotel
                                                              and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh campus
                                                              incorporating meeting and events spaces.

           partners with Flyplay

           Mitchells & Butlers (M&B), one of the largest operators of restaurants, pubs and bars in the UK, has announced
           a partnership with Flypay and its ground-breaking Flyt platform.
             Responding to customer demand, M&B will be including frictionless payments across its estate of around 1700
           pubs, bars and restaurants. The partnership will enable M&B to access a range of different solutions, each offering
           an individual experience for customers and tailored to each brand’s bespoke requirements.
             The services include Flypay’s Pay at Table and Bar Tabs technologies. In several M&B brands, guests will be able
           to redeem Eagle Eye vouchers directly from their phones without going to the bar. These combinations of technology
           provide a frictionless and waiterless payment process, powered by the Flyt platform and fully integrated with the
           industry leading Zonal Aztec EPOS.
